Skills & Tools: Deep expertise in AWS and Google Cloud platforms (compute, storage, networking, identity management), strong cloud security knowledge (IAM, encryption, compliance standards), proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation), and excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture with proven track record of deploying enterprise-grade solutions on AWS and Google Cloud, experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and serverless computing, and hands-on infrastructure automation experience. Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect are a plus.
Location: United States, onsite or within commuting distance

Enterprise Cloud Architect

Role Description: As an Enterprise Cloud Architect, you will design and implement scalable, secure, and innovative cloud solutions, enabling your organization to harness the full potential of AWS and Google Cloud. You will be a strategic partner to technical and business stakeholders, ensuring seamless integration of cloud services with enterprise needs while driving cost efficiency and performance.

Responsibilities: 

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Cloud Strategy Development: Design and execute cloud architecture strategies that align with business goals and leverage AWS and Google Cloud services.
  • Solution Design: Create robust, scalable, and secure cloud architectures, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
  • Governance and Security: Define and implement governance, security, and compliance standards across the cloud environment.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Partner with cross-functional teams (engineering, DevOps, product) to implement cloud-native solutions and drive enterprise digital transformation.
  • Cost Optimization: Monitor cloud usage, optimize resource allocation, and recommend strategies to reduce operational costs.

Qualifications/Competencies/Skills:

To be successful in this role, you bring:

  • Deep expertise in AWS and Google Cloud platforms, including compute, storage, networking, and identity management services.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR).
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to articulate complex cloud solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.

Experience:

Required:

  • Proven track record of designing and deploying enterprise-grade cloud solutions on AWS and Google Cloud.
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with a focus on multi-cloud environments.
  • Experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and serverless computing models.
  • Hands-on experience in automating cloud infrastructure and managing enterprise workloads.

Nice to Have:

  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional) or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud architectures and integrating legacy systems.
  • Familiarity with big data services like Google BigQuery or AWS Redshift.
  • Knowledge of FinOps principles for cloud cost management.
