Senior Editor, Marketing at Kaplan oversees the editorial process for marketing materials across digital, print, and cross-platform initiatives, ensuring high standards of quality, clarity, consistency, and compliance. This role exercises editorial autonomy in managing both strategic and tactical execution of editorial tasks for higher education programs, professional offerings, and partner communications.

Key Responsibilities: Lead editorial processes for marketing campaigns, evaluate and edit copy for clarity and legal defensibility, and identify compliance risks with legal escalation as needed. Copyedit and proofread marketing collateral, draft promotional disclaimers, attend campaign kickoff meetings, and review SEM, display, and paid social ads while ensuring alignment with brand voice and regulatory requirements.

Skills & Tools: Strong editing skills, editorial judgment, and decision-making abilities with thorough understanding of editorial style guides (CMoS, AP, or similar). Ability to work independently, collaborate across cross-functional teams, and demonstrate leadership in editorial strategy across multiple formats including digital, print, social, and web.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communication, or equivalent with 3+ years of editorial experience in marketing, communication, or publishing environments. Must demonstrate strong understanding of compliance issues and ability to navigate legal and regulatory requirements in marketing materials.

Location: Florida

Compensation: $31K–$79K/yr
