Summary

Sr. Account Executive role at Instructure selling Learning Management System solutions to higher education institutions across the US South territory (TX, OK, AR, MO, LA). The position involves introducing and selling Instructure products to new accounts while developing strategic sales pipelines.

Key Responsibilities: Introduce and sell Instructure products to new higher education accounts, develop sales strategies to increase pipeline, and consistently meet/exceed sales quotas. Collaborate with customer success teams on onboarding, deliver in-person and web-based presentations, and maintain accurate Salesforce documentation.
Skills & Tools: Excellent strategic and consultative sales skills with ability to conduct detailed needs analysis and proposal development. Strong presentation and communication abilities, with experience selling at all organizational levels.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales/Marketing, or related field with 3+ years of proven sales experience as an Account Executive or Business Development role. Experience with higher education institutions, EdTech, enterprise-level SaaS software, and LMS platforms is preferred.
Location: United States - South territory (Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana)
Compensation: $85,000 – $100,000/year base salary plus commission structure with On-Target Earnings (OTE) range of $170,000 – $200,000/year

Instructure is looking for experienced Account Executives to join our Higher Education sales team to cover the US - South territory (states include TX, OK, AR, MO, LA) 


What you will be doing:

  • Introduce and sell Instructure products to new higher education accounts. 
  • Develop sales strategies to increase pipeline.
  • Consistently meet/exceed sales quota.
  • Work closely with the customer success team to provide a cohesive handoff experience for Instructure customers as they are onboarded.
  • Collaborate with other members of our sales teams on territory plans and quarterly business reviews.
  • Deliver both in-person and web-based presentations/product demonstrations.
  • Provide education and training about our Instructure Learning Platform.
  • Extensive use of Salesforce to document activities and maintain an accurate forecast.


Here is what you will need to know/have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales/Marketing, or related field.
  • 3+ years of proven sales experience, Account Executive and/or Business Development
  • Proven ability to generate sales pipeline
  • Experience working with Higher Education institutions, EdTech or Professional Learning is a plus.
  • Experience selling enterprise level software, SaaS sales and services - (LMS specific experience a plus). 
  • Experience selling at all levels. 
  • Excellent strategic/consultative sales skills.
  • Ability to do detailed needs analysis and proposal development.

$85,000 - $100,000 a year

This position will include a commission structure as well. The role will be a 50/50 split making the OTE a range of $170k-200k.
