The Segment Sales Executive leads revenue retention and new business development within an assigned territory or client segment, building trust-based relationships with prospects and existing clients. This role is critical to achieving aggressive revenue growth objectives through strategic B2B sales pursuits.

Key Responsibilities: Manages revenue retention and sales activity, generates new B2B business from existing and prospective clients, and executes territory growth strategies using ACAMS's sales methodology and Salesforce CRM. Meets with clients virtually and in-person, attends conferences and events, and maintains a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities.
Skills & Tools: Strong B2B sales expertise with demonstrated ability to close deals and convert prospects, proficiency with Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office suite, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must possess strategic relationship-building abilities, financial services industry knowledge, and strong time management with personal goal-setting discipline.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required with a minimum of 4 years in B2B sales and proven track record of achieving sales quotas. Experience working with financial services clients and the ability to identify decision makers and penetrate assigned territories is essential.
Location: United States
Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation for this role is $65,000 – $95,000/year based on title, seniority, and location.

Job Description

Opportunity at a Glance
The Segment Sales Executive (SSE) is responsible for leading revenue retention and sales activity, building and maintaining trust-based relationships with both prospective and current clients, within an assigned territory or client segment. This role will be responsible for meeting or exceeding metrics and sales targets, performing at a high level and consistently driving revenue by growing existing and new accounts. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in achieving our aggressive revenue growth objectives.
Responsibilities

Manages revenue retention and sales activity across an assigned territory or segment.
Generates new B2B business from existing clients and prospective clients.
Is an expert in strategic B2B sales pursuits.
Uses tools, processes, and disciplines embedded in ACAMS Way of Selling to drive the client’s buying process, working across the client’s and ACAMS&rsquo

  • organization to create solutions that meet business needs of the client and ACAMS.
    Meets with clients and prospects virtually and in-person, which will involve travel.
    Works with Sales Manager or Director to create and execute strategies to grow revenue in assigned territory or portfolio of target accounts.
    Increases revenue opportunities by attending ACAMS conferences and chapter events.
    Communicates and tracks sales activities. This position is responsible for meeting sales metrics including a set number of calls per week, as well as in-person/virtual meetings with clients.
    Understands and anticipates clients' AFC competency needs to drive the success within the assigned territory or segment.
    Proactively develops new sales opportunities for ACAMS solutions, Conferences, and local seminars to increase revenue year-over-year.
    Tracks progress of sales in Salesforce and actively manages business pipeline.
    Acts as a liaison between ACAMS&rsquo
  • personnel and new territory leads as product expert.
    Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts in the assigned territory.
    Identify decision makers within targeted leads and initiate sales process.
    Penetrate territory and generate sales from within client base.
    Generates product or service interest and leverage ACAMS’s value proposition to close sales.
    Maintains current knowledge of ACAMS products and services.
    Completes other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
Minimum 4 years of experience in B2B sales.
Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals and achieve sales quotas.
Experience working with financial services clients and prospects.
Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with Salesforce CRM.
Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows based programs required.
Personal goal setting and time management skills.
Desire to be part of a rapidly expanding business.
Up to 40%+ domestic and international travel required.
Completes other duties as assigned.
