Role Snapshot
The Tax Accountant manages sales tax compliance and audit functions for CDW's Sales Tax Department. This role ensures timely filing of sales and use tax returns and serves as the primary contact for state and local tax authorities.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and file sales and use tax returns, renew business licenses, conduct general ledger reconciliations, and lead assigned sales tax audits. Support audit processes by running reports in multiple accounting systems and coordinating with internal departments, vendors, and customers.
Skills & Tools: Strong knowledge of multi-state sales and use tax laws, excellent written and oral communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel, and problem-solving abilities. Preferred technical skills include AS400, PeopleSoft, Workday, Vertex software, and CCH or TTR tax research experience.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related financial field with 3+ years of sales and use tax experience with focus on audit management. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities under deadlines, and maintain critical attention to detail.

Compensation: $68K–$100K/yr
