Role Snapshot
Sr Engineer specializing in mainframe DB2 to install, maintain, and optimize DB2 software while ensuring system improvements and providing technical support for disaster recovery processes. This role serves as a key liaison for database design, performance optimization, and compliance in complex mainframe environments.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency in mainframe software installation and management, DB2 system administration, SQL tuning and query optimization, problem-solving abilities, knowledge of security models and GRANT/REVOKE structures, experience with CICS/IMS environments, and strong communication and mentoring capabilities.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required with at least 5 years of IT engineering work experience performing DB2 system management functions. Additional experience with related OEM software is advantageous.
Location: United States
Compensation: $105K–$148K/yr
