Job Description

Department: Sales

Higher ed is changing. Help us change how institutions connect with students.

Today's students experience the world through video. They expect communication to be visual, authentic, relevant and easy to consume. Yet many colleges and universities are still trying to reach them using approaches built for a different generation.

StudentBridge is working to change that. We help colleges and universities connect with prospective students through video and digital experiences that bring their institution to life—all designed around a simple idea:

Help students find where they belong, and help institutions reach the students who are the right fit for them. We've partnered with 400+ colleges and universities, and we're entering an important next stage of growth.

We're looking for an experienced Higher Education Account Executive who doesn't just want to inherit a sales playbook. We want someone excited to help us make it better.

First, One Important Requirement

Higher education sales experience is required for this role.

We're looking for someone who already understands the higher-ed landscape. You'll own the entire sales cycle—from identifying an institution worth pursuing to getting the agreement signed. You'll have support, but pipeline creation and calls are part of the job. You should genuinely enjoy the hunt.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build pipeline through thoughtful outbound prospecting, relationships, referrals, events and inbound opportunities.
  • Research institutions before engaging them so you're calling with a reason—not simply working through a list.
  • Understand an institution's current state, desired future state and the problems standing between the two.
  • Ask thoughtful questions before recommending a solution.
  • Build compelling business cases around the problems you uncover.
  • Connect StudentBridge solutions to meaningful enrollment and student-engagement outcomes.
  • Present to stakeholders across enrollment, admissions, marketing and institutional leadership.
  • Develop champions and navigate multiple decision-makers, budgets, procurement and complex approval processes.
  • Own your opportunities and your follow-up. Great salespeople create momentum rather than wait for it.
  • Maintain an accurate pipeline and forecast in HubSpot.
  • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals.
  • Build relationships that create opportunities for referrals, expansion and long-term partnerships.

Who Will Thrive Here

Experience matters. So does how you work. We're looking for someone with:

5+ years of full-cycle, quota-carrying sales experience within higher education, ideally selling SaaS, technology, enrollment, marketing or related solutions. This is a full-cycle sales role.

You Should Also Have:

A demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding quota.
Experience navigating long, complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
Strong prospecting and pipeline-generation skills.
Experience developing champions inside organizations.
Knowledge of GAP Selling or other consultative selling frameworks.
RM experience; we use HubSpot.

How You Work Matters

  • You're curious.
  • You're comfortable challenging the status quo and helping prospects see problems and opportunities differently.
  • You take charge of your day, stay organized, act with urgency, and proactively manage your time and sales activity.
  • You want to understand why something is happening before jumping to a solution.
  • You take ownership.
  • You're comfortable with accountability.

Help Us Build What's Next

  • We're ambitious about where StudentBridge can go. We're looking for people who want to help us get there.
  • 15 days of PTO in your first year, increasing with tenure.
  • Paid holidays.
  • Health, dental and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Life insurance.
  • Long-term disability coverage.
  • Hybrid work from our Atlanta office.
  • Team events and perks.
  • Direct access to company leadership and the opportunity to meaningfully influence how we grow.

Note: The responsibilities of this position are not limited to those listed above and the employee may be asked to perform additional duties. This job description may be changed at the discretion of the employer. The employee will be notified if such changes occur.
