Demonstrated ability to multitask, learn quickly, and provide both remote and direct end-user support, with CompTIA A+ certification and networking knowledge preferred.
Qualifications: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical training, plus 3+ years of commercial IT support technician experience in a Windows environment. Valid driver's license required; ability to travel out of state and work beyond 40 hours weekly; capability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Location: In-Person - India
Compensation: ₹180K–₹300K/yr (estimated)

Job Description

The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled IT Technician to join the Walbridge team. You will provide hands-on technical support at the job site, ensuring smooth operation of Windows-based systems and hardware. This is a great opportunity for an IT professional who is passionate about technology and customer support to learn and grow.

Location

You will work from the project location in New Carlisle, Indiana. In addition to your primary responsibilities there, you may also be asked to occasionally provide support to other Indiana locations.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities:

  • Windows 11 Support - Provide Tier 1/2 technical support for Windows 11 systems, including troubleshooting OS issues, performance optimization, and user assistance.
  • Hardware & Software Deployment - Stage, configure, and deploy desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices. Install, update, and support standard business applications in accordance with IT policies.
  • Onboarding & Workstation Setup - Prepare and provision user workstations for new hires, including account setup, system configuration, and ensuring readiness on day one.
  • New Technology Support & Adoption - Support the implementation and adoption of new technologies, including evaluating emerging tools, assisting with pilot deployments, and helping users transition to new systems and solutions.
  • Network Support - Assist with basic network setup and troubleshooting, including connectivity issues, VPN access, and wired/wireless network configurations.
  • IT Recommendations & Asset Planning - Research and recommend hardware, software, and IT services to improve operational efficiency, performance, and security.
  • User Training & Support - Deliver end-user training and guidance on technology tools, systems, and best practices to enhance productivity and reduce support incidents.
