Assistant Principal at KIPP Public Schools Northern California who serves as a key member of the school leadership team, driving academic and social-emotional learning outcomes while developing future school leaders.

Key Responsibilities: Lead instruction and school culture initiatives, support academic and social-emotional learning outcomes, develop emerging leaders on staff, and work as an apprentice to the School Leader to gradually build capacity for school leadership.
Skills & Tools: Instructional leadership, school culture development, staff coaching and mentoring, student behavior and discipline management, and demonstrated commitment to educational equity and student success.
Qualifications: Typically requires a master's degree in educational leadership or administration and prior teaching experience or school leadership background; California administrative credential required or in progress.
Location: In-Person - San Lorenzo, CA
Compensation: $85K–$120K/yr (estimated)

Job Description

Position Summary 

At KIPP Public Schools Northern California, we believe that Assistant Principals are our future school leaders. We actively develop Assistant Principals for School Leadership and feel the Assistant Principal should consider themselves as an apprentice to the School Leader. The Assistant Principal should gradually build capacity to lead a KIPP school. 

The Assistant Principal’s job is to support the school in driving academic and social emotional learning outcomes for students as a key member of the school’s leadership team. Assistant Principals are expected to lead both instruction and school culture, while developing the skills of the school's emerging leaders.
