The Research Scientist will conduct cutting-edge HIV cure research at UNC's Browne Lab, focusing on HIV reservoir immunology, latency reversal, and viral clearance mechanisms. Key Responsibilities: Design and optimize experimental protocols, conduct complex research investigations, interpret scientific data, and disseminate findings through publications and presentations. Support collaborative initiatives within the lab and across research partners while maintaining high standards of scientific rigor.
Skills & Tools: Expertise in virology, immunology, or related biomedical sciences with strong technical proficiency in laboratory methods, experimental design, and data analysis. Demonstrated scientific independence, intellectual curiosity, and ability to communicate findings effectively.
Qualifications: Ph.D. or equivalent postdoctoral experience in virology, immunology, or a closely related biomedical field with demonstrated research productivity. Proven ability to design and execute complex research projects independently.
Location: In-Person
Compensation: $120Kโ€“$180K/yr (estimated)

The Research Scientist will contribute to experimental design, protocol optimization, data interpretation, and scientific dissemination while supporting ongoing collaborative initiatives within the lab and across research partners.
