The Regional Sales Director (Northern CA) establishes and drives sales activities for Imagine Learning offerings within a designated region, transforming opportunity into action every day. Offerings include core market curriculum, courseware, intervention, supplemental, services, and adjacent portfolio. The Regional Sales Director leads and motivates a Sales team to increase revenue/margin from developing brand-new accounts to driving expansion across existing accounts. This position ensures the achievement of sales goals, including analyzing and interpreting sales data, evaluating current business, and identifying new sales opportunities. The Director develops strategy, target reports, business plans, and executes the plan. Recruits, interviews, hires, trains, and coaches the Sales team. Evaluates goals and conducts performance reviews. Collaborates with internal departments to efficiently and effectively provide best-
in-class service to customers.

Position Information: This is a regular, full-time position, reporting to the Division Vice President of Sales.
Compensation: Base pay is anticipated to be between $180,000.00 and $190,000.00 per year. Eligible employees may also receive incentive/commission/annual bonus pay based on individual and/or company performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as, but not limited to, individual skills, experience, training, education/certifications, geographic location, internal equity, and local market conditions.
Location: In this US-based position your location will be remote. Candidates that currently reside in Northern CA are highly preferred.
Travel: This role requires approximately 50% travel or more, so be sure you have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance and a clean driving record for at least the preceding 39 months.

Envision Your Experience.
In this role you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Devise and implement the company’s sales strategy; strategize sales plans for short- and long-term objectives.
- Counsel, train, and guide direct reports to drive organization plans for achieving sales goals; drives accountability at a territory level; Work in the field with direct reports to model, coach and develop effective selling technique and stakeholder meetings.
- Set revenue targets for the company and key performance indicators.
- Analyze and summarize account profitability and determine sales technique, advertising, and market penetration with sales representatives.
- Meet with Sales team on a regular basis to assess company performance against KPI’s.
- Present sales results to senior leadership on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Speak at conferences and events about the company’s products and services.
- Implement sales strategies across the company and monitor effectiveness.
- Keep a close eye on the sales activities of competitors.
- Oversee performance management of under-performing sales staff.
- Implement new business initiatives to drive sales.
- Ensure the Imagine Learning sales training program is effective.
- Work with senior leaders on budgeting and planning.
- Negotiate agreements for contracts with customers.
- Implement an effective sales pipeline and lead tracking process.
- Ensure the CRM is being used effectively and provides a competitive advantage.
- Implement best practice in sales techniques throughout the department.
- Foster strong relationships across the organization.
- Other duties as required.
Share Your Expertise.
Experience, education, and qualifications essential for success in this role, include:
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in the education technology industry; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
- Experience leading remote teams preferred.
- Proven history of driving sales results and achieving goals.
- Experience in effectively collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven success in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and travel a minimum of 60%.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Working knowledge of NetSuite and SalesForce preferred.
