A sales internship at zyBooks, a Wiley brand, designed to provide comprehensive exposure to the sales function and help determine if a career in sales aligns with professional goals. The intern will shadow sales leaders, develop foundational sales skills, and support the team in customer engagement and market research.

Key Responsibilities: Shadow sales leadership and representatives to understand daily activities and strategies, participate in training on sales techniques and customer relationship management, assist with market research, prepare sales presentations and proposals, observe and participate in customer meetings, and compile findings on sales activities.
Skills & Tools: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills and attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a proactive, enthusiastic approach to learning.
Qualifications: Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field with a strong interest in a career in sales. No prior sales experience required.

Compensation: $16–$23/hr

About the Role: zyBooks, a Wiley Brand, is at the forefront of educational technology, providing innovative and interactive learning solutions to higher education institutions. We seek a dynamic and highly motivated sales intern to join our team. The Summer Sales Intern will gain a comprehensive understanding of the sales function within our organization. This internship is designed to help individuals determine if a career in sales aligns with their professional goals. The intern will have the opportunity to shadow sales leaders, engage with individual sales team members, and participate in training sessions to acquire foundational sales skills.

Job Responsibilities: Shadowing and

Observation: Spend time with sales leadership and individual sales representatives to understand their roles, daily activities, and strategies.

Training and Development: Participate in training sessions designed to introduce sales techniques, customer relationship management, and product knowledge.

Market Research: Assist in conducting market research to identify potential customers and understand market trends.

Sales Support: Provide support to the sales team by helping prepare sales presentations, proposals, and reports.

Customer Interaction: Observe and participate in customer meetings and calls to gain insight into the sales process and customer engagement.

Reporting: Compile and present findings on sales strategies, customer interactions, and market research to the sales leadership team.

Feedback: Regularly provide feedback on the internship experience to help improve the program for future interns.

Required Qualifications: Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Enthusiastic and eager to learn Strong interest in a career in sales Positive attitude and proactive approach

The range below represents Wiley's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting roles either in the United Kingdom, Canada or USA. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
