Role Snapshot
Lead the design and development of AI-driven systems and experiences for Handshake's career network platform. Drive high-impact architectural decisions and mentor engineers while collaborating across product, design, and analytics teams.
Key Responsibilities: Lead large projects end-to-end from design through execution, architect scalable full-stack systems for core user journeys, and drive technical decisions balancing product goals with system reliability. Mentor teammates, establish engineering best practices, and maintain high quality standards through code reviews and architectural guidance.
Skills & Tools: Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, Ruby on Rails, SQL, and PostgreSQL with demonstrated expertise in leading large-scale projects and building scalable services. Excellent cross-functional collaboration, mentoring, and communication skills with business acumen to influence technical roadmaps.
Qualifications: 5+ years of experience as a full-stack engineer with preferred background in AI-powered products and consumer SaaS platforms at scale.
Location: San Francisco, California
Compensation: $200K–$235K/yr
