Summary
Avela seeks a Charter Partnerships Manager to drive growth in the charter school sector by generating demand, building sales pipelines, and closing deals. This full-stack sales role requires someone with charter administration experience who empathizes with school operators' challenges.
Key Responsibilities: Generate demand and build pipeline through direct outreach, field events, and marketing support; conduct product demos and manage the complete sales process from prospecting through closing and customer handoff. Own deals end-to-end including scheduling meetings, pricing negotiation, contracting, and coordinating internal handoff to customer success teams.
Skills & Tools: Strong communication and relationship-building abilities with an entrepreneurial mindset and comfort with ambiguity; product knowledge, sales acumen, and proficiency with tools like LinkedIn, RocketReach, and HubSpot.
Qualifications: 4+ years of professional experience with 2+ years in charter administration, preferably in CEO, operational, enrollment, student services, or accountability roles at large CMOs or networks. Passion for education and equity with a competitive drive to succeed.
Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, California or Boston, Massachusetts, United States (must live within 1 hour of hubs)
Compensation: $80,000 β $200,000/year (Base: $80,000 β $100,000; Bonus: $80,000 β $100,000; Equity: ~5,000 shares)
