Summary
Join Avela as a District Partnerships Manager to drive business growth by building relationships and generating demand within public school districts across the U.S. This full-stack sales role combines demand generation, pipeline building, and deal closure with a focus on practitioners who understand the educational landscape.
Key Responsibilities: Build and manage client relationships with school districts through outbound prospecting, events, and marketing support; own the full sales process from initial contact through deal closure; and coordinate handoffs to implementation teams while managing CRM and contract workflows.
Skills & Tools: Strong relationship-building and communication abilities, entrepreneurial mindset, proficiency with sales tools (LinkedIn, Clay, HubSpot), product knowledge, and ability to navigate ambiguity. Experience in district administration, sales, partnerships, or fundraising preferred, with deep understanding of educational stakeholder needs and decision-making processes.
Qualifications: 5+ years of professional experience with at least 3 years in district administration roles such as Superintendent, Board Member, or Executive Director. Candidates should be current or former school district leaders who empathize with client challenges and live within 1 hour of San Francisco or Boston hubs.
Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, California or Boston, Massachusetts, United States (must reside within 1 hour of hub location)
Compensation: $80,000 β $225,000/year (Base: $80,000 β $100,000 + Bonus: $80,000 β $125,000 + Equity: 5,000 shares)
