Learning Experience Designer to develop engaging, standards-aligned instructional materials for K-12 English Language Arts at Newsela. This role is ideal for a hands-on curriculum builder passionate about creating high-quality lessons, activities, and assessments using evidence-based learning practices.

Key Responsibilities: Author lessons, activities, and assessments; select and edit grade-appropriate texts; design formative and summative assessments; provide editorial feedback on content drafts. Apply science of reading best practices, ensure standards alignment, and embed scaffolds for diverse learners including multilingual students.

Skills & Tools: Strong ELA pedagogical knowledge, excellent writing and editing capabilities, proficiency with AI tools for content development, organizational skills, and familiarity with digital content tools. Ability to collaborate effectively and provide detailed feedback rooted in research and best practices.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in education or instructional design with at least 3 years of K-12 curriculum development experience. Preferred qualifications include prior classroom teaching experience and familiarity with digital content platforms.

Compensation: $65K–$85K/yr (estimated)
