Summary

Editorial Assistant Intern supporting Elsevier's Energy and Chemical Engineering Books Team in academic book publishing related to the global energy transition. Gain hands-on experience in proposal development, peer review, author outreach, and scholarly publishing workflows.

Key Responsibilities: Support editors with new project development, research subject matter experts, maintain prospect lists, and assist with author/reviewer identification. Create outreach materials, draft publishing documents, contribute to author recruitment, and develop social media content.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, effective communication abilities, and familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT and Copilot. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills.
Qualifications: Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree with expected graduation by May 2027. Passion for publishing, science, and knowledge dissemination with demonstrable interest in the energy transition.
Location: Remote/home-based, Massachusetts, United States (open to Eastern and Central Time Zones)
