The Instructor Manager is responsible for supporting the growth of the Securities and/or Insurance business through the delivery of instruction, including hiring, training, managing, and engaging a team of excellent instructors. This position will also provide subject matter expertise for instructors and students, plus seek opportunities to develop and improve our live and on demand classroom offerings. Additionally, the Instructor Manager will ensure excellent instruction and learning experiences for our students by regularly evaluating and coaching the performance of instructors. Primary/Key Responsibilities Directly manage teachers to ensure excellent standardized delivery for classroom courses, coaching calls, and InstructorLink. Collaborate with the Classroom Operations team on instructor selection and class assignments. Analyze instructor evaluations, student feedback, and other metrics in order to support instructor performance and development. Provide instructors with feedback, professional development, and training opportunities to enhance teaching skills. Accurately manage payroll for all direct reports. Serve as the primary point of contact for instructors, addressing their concerns and providing support as needed. Work directly with the Teacher Recruitment Team to identify and prioritize instructor hiring needs for your team. Oversee the interviewing, onboarding, and training process for new teachers. Collaborate across teams to solve problems and ensure excellent student experiences across your area of responsibility. Collect content feedback from instructors and share with the product team in an effort to improve products. Communicate product updates and changes to instructors as needed to ensure they have the most updated versions and information for students. Work with other teams as needed to solve teacher-related student escalations. Participate occasionally as needed on certain client calls with Sales and Customer Engagement when an Academic SME is needed. Teach classes occasionally as needed based on business priorities. Minimum Qualifications College degree in business, finance, insurance, or related areas. 5 + years of industry experience and training in specific subject matter (Insurance or Securities). Excellent communication skills using Word, Excel, and/or Power Point. Proficient in online delivery methods including Zoom. For full-time positions, Kaplan has three Salary Grades. This position is Salary Grade B: $64,819 to $162,047. The specific compensation offered will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, education, skills, and market data.
