Job Description

SummaryThe Associate Digital Producer (ADP) – Science is responsible for supporting the digital development of K–12 Science products within the Science team. Under the leadership of the Supervising Digital Producer, the ADP will own the Science maintenance queue, manage assessment production in partnership with LearningMate, and grow into broader digital production support over time.
This position works closely with Editorial, Instructional Design, Production Management, and external vendors (LearningMate and Aptara) to ensure that digital products are delivered on schedule and to a high standard of quality. The ADP will directly impact K–12 Science education by helping bring accessible, high-quality digital learning products to market on the Savvas Realize platform.
The role requires a high degree of flexibility, attention to detail, and the willingness to learn client-specific databases, processes, and platforms. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in Excel and Google Sheets, thrives in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment, and has a strong interest in education and technology.
Primary Responsibilities

Be a key participant in teams of Editors, Designers, QA, and Senior Producers working on innovative product offerings.
Contributes to managing the digital aspect of projects and budgets to meet and not exceed the development budgets and deliver the products on time with high quality.
Works with editorial experts to develop program content within the digital program platform and print components.
Manages the delivery and quality of digital components, coordinating vendors and internal teams.
Participates in production review cycles and attends digital producer team and department meetings.
Ensures content meets functionality and accessibility standards in coordination with platform and QA teams.
Makes independent decisions to select processes and tools.
Follows current trends and research on innovations and educational technology.
Manages and triages incoming maintenance issues. Facilitates content corrections and updates in collaboration with editorial and production teams.

Required Knowledge and Experience

Bachelor's degree or higher required.
Work experience or internships in education, publishing, or technology preferred.
Strong spreadsheet skills in both Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of information across multiple simultaneous projects.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to communicate clearly with both internal teams and external vendors.
Ability to learn and work within complex systems and databases, including client-specific tools and workflows.
Highly organized and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Willingness to ask questions, take initiative, escalate issues proactively, and report status updates and mitigations to the team.
Ability to handle a high volume of work, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and operate effectively in a demanding work environment.

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with JIRA or similar project and ticket management tools.
Familiarity with interactive media, markup languages (HTML, XML, CSS), or scripting languages (Python, Ruby).
Experience working with K–12 educational publishing products, processes, or content management systems.
Experience supporting accessible product development.
Familiarity with AI-assisted tools and willingness to explore how AI can support and improve production processes.
