HR Business Partner at Momentive Software who partners with business unit leadership to improve organizational effectiveness, diagnose workplace issues, and develop people strategies that support business objectives. Serves as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees across all HR domains including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic HR consultation and day-to-day performance management guidance to business unit leaders; manage complex employee relations investigations and ensure legal compliance; analyze HR metrics and trends to develop solutions and policies that align with business needs.
Skills & Tools: Strong verbal and written communication with ability to build effective relationships across all organizational levels; demonstrated capacity to think strategically while executing tactical plans; excellent judgment in handling sensitive/confidential information; ability to multitask in fast-paced environments with minimal supervision.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience with 5-8 years of HR experience; HR certification preferred. Demonstrated ability to build effective work relationships and maintain business literacy regarding financial positions, strategic plans, and organizational culture.
Location: Remote - Remote (US Only)
Compensation: $85K–$130K/yr (estimated)

Job Description DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Partner with business unit leadership and management teams to improve organizational effectiveness by diagnosing issues in the workplace and identifying appropriate strategies to resolve problems, improve team performance and effectiveness, and development of people strategies that support the business needs. Serve as a trusted advisor/resource/consultant to leaders and employees in all HR areas including employee development, employee relations, recruitment and selection, diversity and inclusion, policy and procedure interpretation, performance management, workforce development, and change management. Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to business unit leaders (coaching, counseling, career development, corrective action, etc.). Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues by conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations. Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with legal team as needed/required. Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with business unit leadership and other internal HR team members to develop solutions, programs and policies. Maintain effective level of business literacy about the business unit’s financial position, strategic plans, and culture. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. HR certification preferred, Minimum 5-8 years of experience in a HR role Demonstrated ability to build effective work relationships with all levels within the organization required. Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with employees. Must be able be hands-on and think strategically and execute tactical project plans. Strong ability to exercise discretion, judgement, tact, and poise in handling highly sensitive and confidential information.
  • Other Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, organization and follow up skills Demonstratable ability to build long term relationships and trust with managers, teams, and applicants. Excellent relationship building skills and ability to work both individually and as a member of a team are necessary. Proven ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment Extending viewing of computer screens Some overnight travel may be required ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Spends time at a computer workstation and desk. Moves throughout department or other locations to access or exchange information. May involve carrying loads up to 50 lbs. and being able to remain in a stationary position. May involve lowering oneself to file, and reaching, twisting or turning. Involves handling office materials, typing, writing and other tasks that require manual dexterity. Continuous listening.
