This is an entry-level technical product role focused on product systems, technical support, and execution within the product lifecycle. The Product Associate will partner closely with the Senior Product Manager to support roadmap execution and contribute to building thoughtful, user-centered technology that advances our mission and supports both internal teams and external users. As an Associate Product Manager, you will play a key role in the product lifecycle - supporting requirements development, analyzing user feedback and product data, executing testing efforts, and contributing to product releases and communications. You will gain hands-on experience working with product systems, data, and cross-functional teams while developing foundational product management skills. This role is ideal for someone early in their product career who brings a technical foundation in data systems, scripting, and web technologies, and is excited to grow their technical judgment while making meaningful impact through mission-driven technology. This position is non-exempt, paid hourly, and overtime eligible. Key Responsibilities:

Product Lifecycle & Delivery

  • Execute product development and lifecycle activities for GWC-developed products and integrated systems, including executing testing, system configuration, and integration work across platforms and tools, under the guidance of the Senior Product Manager.

  • Document user stories, product requirements, and technical specifications, including acceptance criteria and implementation details.

  • Track and analyze feature requests and user feedback to inform product improvements.

  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by executing test cases, analyzing system behavior, and documenting bugs with reproducible steps and relevant system context.

  • Prepare release notes and contribute to internal communications about product updates.

  • Write and maintain SQL queries and perform data analysis to evaluate product performance, user behavior, and system outcomes.

  • Utilize Google Analytics or similar web analytics platforms to monitor website performance, analyze user behavior, and surface insights that inform product decisions.

  • Systems, Data & Troubleshooting

  • Investigate and troubleshoot product-related issues by diagnosing root causes within underlying systems, data flows, and integrations, and escalate bugs to engineering partners as needed.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify risks, anomalies, or areas for improvement.
  • Build lightweight automations, scripts, or workflows to improve product operations and support efficiency.
  • Technical Implementation & Enablement
  • Serve as a technical point of contact for internal teams and external users by responding to product-related inquiries and troubleshooting issues.
  • Implement website and product updates, including content deployment, feature configuration, and system adjustments across platforms.
  • Utilize HTML/CSS and CMS tools to support front-end updates and platform improvements
  • Maintain and improve technical documentation, FAQs, and internal resources by documenting recurring issues, root causes, and system behaviors.
  • Analyze common user questions and support trends to inform documentation improvements and product enhancements.
  • Partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate requirements, clarify system behavior, and support alignment on product updates.
  • Create and maintain internal documentation and resources, including flowcharts that map technical workflows and system integrations, leveraging enterprise AI tools where appropriate.
  • Support internal staff in navigating GWC-developed products and related administrative tools through training, guidance, and updates.
  • Leverage our Enterprise Project Management workspace to coordinate technical support, user resources, and communications efforts.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or analytical field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • 0–2 years of experience in product management, human centered design, product development, technical support, data analysis, technical consulting, or related technical roles (internships and academic projects welcome).
