The Senior Director of Professional and Organizational Development designs and implements comprehensive training, development, and organizational effectiveness programs for all college employees, with emphasis on leadership performance management. This role serves as a strategic HR consultant to senior leadership, driving employee relations, change management, and workforce partnership initiatives.

Key Responsibilities: Creates and implements training and development programs across the college, leads organizational development interventions, and provides HR strategic and operational guidance to Vice Presidents and leadership teams. Manages performance management skill development, employee relations, coaching, change management, and serves as HR administrative liaison.
Skills & Tools: Expertise in organizational development, training design and delivery, performance management, change management, and strategic HR consulting. Strong coaching abilities, employee relations acumen, and capacity to provide both strategic direction and operational HR guidance to senior leadership.
Qualifications: Typically requires a Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field, plus 10+ years of progressive HR and organizational development experience in higher education or similar complex environments. Demonstrated expertise in leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and strategic HR partnership.

Job Description

The Senior Director of Professional and Organizational Development creates and implements training and development programs for all employees of the College, with a focus on performance management skills for all college leaders, faculty and staff. Leads the design and implementation of organizational development interventions as appropriate. Serves as a critical Senior HR consultant to the area Vice Presidents and their leadership team as needed by providing both HR strategic and operational guidance and direction. Responsible for championing employee relations, overall area effectiveness, coaching and change management, HR administrative liaison, and strategic workforce partnership.
