Role Snapshot

Lead Engineer for Noodle's Edge Product Suite responsible for driving technical strategy and architecture decisions for the higher education technology platform. This role leads engineering efforts to build scalable infrastructure that empowers universities to enhance enrollment, resilience, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities: Design and oversee the development of the Edge Product Suite, lead engineering team initiatives, and ensure the delivery of robust infrastructure and technology solutions that support university partners. Collaborate with product and strategy teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical implementations.

Skills & Tools: Advanced software engineering expertise with strong architectural and system design capabilities, leadership skills for managing technical teams, and proficiency in modern development practices. Experience with cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and proven ability to mentor engineers and drive technical excellence.

Qualifications: Typically requires 10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in leadership or senior technical roles. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent demonstrated expertise in building large-scale education technology or SaaS platforms.

Location: Remote - South Africa

Compensation: R840K–R1.3M/yr (estimated)
