Skills & Tools: 8+ years of product design experience with proven strategic leadership and team management capabilities; proficiency in Lean UX, Agile methodologies, and modern SaaS design. Strong organizational influence, collaboration, resilience-building, and systems thinking skills with expertise in learning experience design and educational technology.
Qualifications: Minimum 8 years of related experience (or 6+ years with an advanced degree) with a proven track record of managing 4-6 designers in distributed settings. Knowledge of product-led growth strategies, learning science, curriculum development, and experience in startup or turnaround contexts preferred.

Job Description:

We're seeking a Senior Manager of Design to shape the future of our product experience and design organization. You’ll work at the intersection of organizational strategy and design leadership, driving initiatives that elevate our product ecosystem and scaling our design practices.

You'll be leading Integrated Learning Experiences, including the ILX Player, Assessments, and Labs, which are critical to Pluralsight's mission of empowering learners to build skills effectively. This space supports learners in gaining practical knowledge, tracking their development, and achieving their goals in a structured, integrated way. Your work will directly impact learner retention, engagement, and success, helping Pluralsight maintain its competitive edge in delivering industry-leading technology workforce development solutions.

collaboration. You’ll influence product direction while fostering a culture of thought leadership, innovation, and partnership.

  • Lead organizational growth (30%): Develop teams, workflows, and practices.

Experience you’ll bring:

  • Minimum of 8 years of related or equivalent experience; or 6+ years with an advanced degree.
  • Proven track record of strategic leadership.
  • Experience managing 4-6 designers, ideally distributed across geographies.
  • Strong organizational influence and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with Lean UX principles and agile product design/development processes.
  • Expertise in guiding the end-to-end design process, including research and discovery, ideation and concept development, testing, specification, and collaboration with developers to build and launch features
  • Familiarity with modern enterprise SaaS platform design and multi-modal content delivery systems.
  • Skilled in fostering resilience, flexibility, and systems thinking within teams.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of product-led growth strategies and experience in matrixed organizations.
  • Expertise in creating engaging user experiences for learning, including familiarity with learning science, curriculum development, or educational technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement applied methods for assuring design quality.
  • Experience managing within startup or turnaround contexts.

Travel Requirements:

While Pluralsight operates under a remote and hybrid work model, we believe that in-person connection and collaboration are important. Recurring travel to our HQ in Utah may be required depending on the role and team member location.

The annual US base salary range for this role is $134,100- $165,600 USD. Pluralsight's pay ranges vary based on work location. Talent Acquisition can share more detail during the hiring process when applicable. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. In addition to the base salary, this role may also be eligible for benefits and bonuses.
