About the Role

The Senior Manager – Manufacturing & Service will own end-to-end manufacturing quality, localisation, and after-sales service operations for Teachmint's hardware products across partner factories and service centres. This role carries full ownership of workflows at partner sites — from factory qualification, BOM/SOP creation, and manufacturing quality, to service centre performance and field support. The Senior Manager will lead an internal team and own workflows at partner factories and service centres to drive continuous improvement across the manufacturing and service network.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing Quality & Localization
  • Audit and qualify supplier-factory combinations against Teachmint's quality and capability standards
  • Own creation and maintenance of SKU-wise BOMs and SOPs across the product portfolio
  • Own IQC, Line QC, OQC, and PDI processes end-to-end
  • Identify localization opportunities and drive direct sourcing to grow Local BOM
  • Lead RCAs for field failures and drive closure of factory-level corrective actions
Service Centre Ownership
  • Own end-to-end workflows at partner service centres — intake, repair TAT, spares availability, and quality of repairs
  • Set and monitor service SLAs and drive performance reviews with service partners
  • Feed field/service data back into manufacturing RCAs and design improvements
  • Build a scalable service operations framework as hardware volumes grow
Team & Stakeholder Management
  • Manage & upskill a team of 4-6 across on-ground services, manufacturing operations and service centre operations
  • Partner with sourcing, product, and design teams to align on quality and localization roadmaps
  • Represent manufacturing & service in leadership reviews, owning metrics and improvement plans
Continuous Improvement
  • Drive structured quality improvement programs across factories and service centres
  • Build Teachmint's independent quality capability, reducing reliance on supplier documentation and training

Key Requirements

  • 7–10 years of experience in EMS/electronics manufacturing quality, with prior exposure to service or after-sales operations
  • Proven experience managing teams and cross-functional stakeholders in a manufacturing or hardware environment
  • Strong track record in factory audits, line quality, and BOM/SOP ownership
  • Experience setting up or managing service centre operations, SLAs, and partner performance
  • Excellent data analysis, reporting, and executive communication skills
  • Comfort operating with high ownership in a fast-scaling, lean team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in localization or Make-in-India (MII) initiatives
  • Exposure to both ODM and OEM manufacturing models
  • Prior experience building or scaling a quality/service function from the ground up

Travel Requirement

Frequent travel to Indian factories, suppliers, and service centres; occasional travel to Chinese suppliers.

Why Join Us
