Summary

Scholastic is seeking a remote full-time Transportation Fleet Planner to optimize fleet routing, ensure DOT compliance, and coordinate across Distribution, Operations, and Sales departments. This role is critical for maintaining efficient transportation operations while meeting established KPI thresholds.

Key Responsibilities: Develop weekly preliminary and final routing for assigned branches, complete route changes within established timelines, analyze routing metrics for cost-saving opportunities, and ensure DOT compliance with hours of service regulations. Support communication across divisions, track progress against efficiency goals, and create reports/analysis as requested.

Skills & Tools: Advanced logical thinking, strong organizational abilities, and proficiency in Excel (formulas, data manipulation, sorting/filtering) are essential. Candidates must also demonstrate strong computer skills in Outlook, Teams, and network navigation, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Qualifications: Strong work ethic demonstrating continuous improvement, self-starter mentality with ability to work independently and adapt to peak season demands, and flexibility to work overtime when required. Experience with fleet planning or transportation logistics is preferred but not explicitly stated.
