Summary
The Director will lead the Center for the Advancement of Art Education at AOEU, developing and executing strategic initiatives to advance arts education through rigorous research, innovative practice, and meaningful collaborations with educational institutions and organizations.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute a multi-year strategic plan, design and oversee arts education research initiatives, build partnerships across higher education and K-12 systems, coordinate a multidisciplinary team, manage budgets and operations, and position the Center as a national thought leader in arts education.
Skills & Tools: Strong academic research leadership, exceptional communication and strategic thinking abilities, collaborative mindset, and capacity to thrive in ambiguity while transforming ideas into scalable, evidence-based solutions.
Qualifications: Master's degree required (EdD or PhD preferred) with a minimum of three years of leadership experience in education or mission-driven organizations, and a proven record in academic research and external partnership development.
Location: Remote from USA; position based at AOEU HQ in Osage, Iowa
Compensation: $90,000 – $130,000/year
