Summary

The Director, Projects & Programs will lead complex, cross-functional initiatives within Acelero's Learning & Impact Team, serving as the operational backbone to drive clarity, coordination, and execution across national projects and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities: Manage enterprise-level projects, support senior leaders, and develop standardized systems to facilitate efficient teamwork and integration of AI-enabled tools. Build operational systems that strengthen accountability and impact while collaborating across finance, legal, and implementation teams.
Skills & Tools: Strong background in governmental dealings, public-sector procurement, and contracting with exceptional relationship-building and proposal-writing abilities. Proficiency in navigating non-RFP pathways and collaborating across various organizational functions.
Qualifications: Proven track record of closing deals with state, regional, or local government entities and deep understanding of public-sector procurement, contracting, and legislative cycles. Experience working with senior government leaders and stakeholders.
Location: Remote from United States of America (25% travel required for work-related meetings and events)
Compensation: $110,000/year

Acelero is seeking a strategic and highly organized Director, Projects & Programs to serve as the operational backbone of our Learning & Impact Team. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives that shape how research, innovation, and evidence-based practices are designed, managed, and scaled across a national organization. The Director will play a critical role in translating strategy into execution while building systems that strengthen clarity, accountability, and impact across teams.

Your Role:

In this role, you will anchor the Learning & Impact Team’s operational rhythm—driving clarity, coordination, and execution across high-priority initiatives. As Director, Projects & Programs, you’ll manage enterprise-level projects, support senior leaders, and build standardized systems that help teams work smarter, faster, and more collaboratively. You’ll play a key role in integrating AI-enabled tools and continuous improvement practices to maximize impact across the organization.

What You Bring:

  • A proven track record of closing deals with state, regional, or local government entities
  • Deep understanding of public-sector procurement, contracting, and legislative cycles
  • Strong relationship-building skills with senior government leaders and stakeholders
  • Exceptional writing ability to support proposals, grants, and procurement submissions
  • Experience navigating non-RFP pathways such as sole source or contract expansions
  • Comfort collaborating across finance, legal, and implementation teams
  • Willingness to travel regularly to support partnership development

When: Early 2026

Where: Remote (25% travel for work related meetings and events)

How Much: This position earns up to $110,000 per year (depending on experience and qualifications)
