Senior DevOps Engineer responsible for designing and maintaining enterprise CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes infrastructure, and cloud platforms supporting Go, Python, Java backends and Angular frontends. The role drives DevOps strategy, mentors developers, and ensures high availability and observability across production environments.
Key Responsibilities: Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS/AKS), provision infrastructure using Terraform, oversee application deployments (Strapi CMS, PostgreSQL, rendering services), implement monitoring/logging solutions, and establish DevOps best practices and environment strategies.
Skills & Tools: Expert-level Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins), Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), AWS services, Azure AD, PostgreSQL administration, Linux systems, and strong mentoring/communication abilities. Preferred expertise in Go/Python build pipelines, Angular deployments, and CMS platform support.
Qualifications: 8+ years of DevOps or Platform Engineering experience with strong hands-on Kubernetes and container orchestration expertise. Proven track record in cloud infrastructure design, CI/CD implementation, and DevSecOps practices across production environments.
Location: Hybrid - Pune, India
Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation for this role is ₹25,00,000 – ₹40,00,000/year based on title, seniority, and location.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
CI/CD & Build Engineering
- Design and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for:
- Go, Python, Java backends
- Angular / TypeScript frontends
- Extend Script and automation services
- Standardize branching, versioning, and release workflows
- Automate build validation, linting, testing, artifact generation
- Implement progressive deployment strategies (blue/green, rolling updates)
Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Engineering
- Architect and manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS / AKS)
- Provision infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform preferred)
- Design scalable containerized environments
- Manage ingress, service mesh, and API gateways as needed
- Optimize cloud cost and resource allocation
Repository & Code Governance
- Define repository strategy (mono vs poly repo where applicable)
- Implement secure access policies via Azure AD / IAM
- Manage Git workflows and enforce DevSecOps standards
- Integrate automated security scanning (SAST/DAST)
Application Deployment & Runtime Management
- Deploy and manage:
- Strapi CMS
- PostgreSQL databases
- InDesign Server integrations
- Rendering services
- Manage container registries and artifact repositories
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery strategy
Observability & Reliability
- Implement centralized logging and monitoring (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
- Define SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets
- Establish incident response protocols
- Lead root cause analysis for production issues
DevOps Strategy & Enablement
- Establish environment strategy (Dev / QA / Stage / Prod)
- Define versioning and rollback mechanisms
- Document deployment playbooks
- Mentor developers on DevOps best practices
- Reduce developer operational overhead
Technical Requirements:
Mandatory -
- 8+ years in DevOps / Platform Engineering
- Strong Kubernetes experience (EKS / AKS)
- CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
- Docker & container orchestration
- Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform / ARM / CloudFormation)
- AWS experience (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, EKS)
- Experience integrating Azure AD for authentication
- PostgreSQL administration experience
- Strong Linux systems knowledge
Preferred -
- Experience with Go and Python build pipelines
- Experience deploying Angular applications
- Experience supporting CMS platforms (Strapi preferred)
- Familiarity with Adobe InDesign Server environments
- Exposure to content automation pipelines
- Experience in high-volume document rendering systems
