Role Snapshot

Lead GTM technology assessments for PE-backed portfolio companies preparing for sale, evaluating CRM, marketing automation, and RevOps maturity while translating technical findings into investor-relevant value drivers. Own practice revenue growth, P&L management, team development, and PE relationship building within 12-18 months.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct GTM technology assessments covering CRM, marketing automation, data architecture, and RevOps maturity for PE portfolio companies; present findings to deal teams and executives; refine assessment frameworks and standardize deliverables to improve margins; support business development and proposal scoping with PE firms.
Skills & Tools: Strong technical knowledge of GTM technology stacks (CRM, marketing automation, data architecture, RevOps); ability to translate complex technical concepts into business and investor narratives; proven business development and relationship management skills; P&L management and strategic planning capabilities.
Qualifications: 7-10+ years of experience in GTM technology, RevOps, or related advisory roles, ideally with exposure to private equity or M&A processes; demonstrated track record in building repeatable service offerings and managing teams; bachelor's degree in business, technology, or related field preferred.
Location: In-Person - Chicago, IL
Compensation: $150K–$220K/yr (estimated)

Job Description

What You’ll Do (First 12 Months)

Client Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead GTM technology assessments for PE-backed portfolio companies preparing for sale.
  • Evaluate CRM, marketing automation, data architecture, RevOps maturity, reporting integrity, scalability, and risk exposure.
  • Shape the technology narrative for CIMs and buyer diligence.
  • Present findings directly to PE deal teams and portfolio company executives.
  • Translate technical complexity into investor-relevant value drivers and risk mitigation themes.

Offering Development

  • Refine assessment frameworks and delivery methodology.
  • Standardize deliverables and playbooks.
  • Improve margin profile through repeatable processes.
  • Identify adjacent service expansion opportunities.

Business Development Support

  • Partner with the leadership team in PE relationship development.
  • Support proposal development and scoping.
  • Begin owning select client relationships.
