Managing Director leading GTM technology advisory services for private equity-backed portfolio companies preparing for sale or exit. Responsible for building and scaling the advisory practice while delivering high-impact technology assessments that inform deal strategy and valuation.

Key Responsibilities: Lead comprehensive GTM technology assessments evaluating CRM, marketing automation, data architecture, and RevOps maturity for PE portfolio companies; present findings to deal teams and executives while translating technical insights into investor-relevant value drivers. Refine assessment frameworks, standardize deliverables, support business development with PE firms, and manage revenue growth, margins, and P&L for the GTM Advisory practice.
Skills & Tools: Deep expertise in GTM technology stacks, sales operations, data architecture, and PE-backed business assessments combined with strong executive communication and ability to translate technical complexity for investor audiences. Strategic business development acumen, operational rigor, and capability to build and mentor high-performing advisory teams.
Qualifications: 10+ years of progressive experience in technology advisory, sales operations, GTM strategy, or private equity environments with demonstrated success leading client engagements and building advisory practices. MBA or equivalent business acumen with proven track record of P&L management and relationship development with institutional investors.

Compensation: $180K–$280K/yr (estimated)

Job Description

What You’ll Do (First 12 Months)

Client Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead GTM technology assessments for PE-backed portfolio companies preparing for sale.
  • Evaluate CRM, marketing automation, data architecture, RevOps maturity, reporting integrity, scalability, and risk exposure.
  • Shape the technology narrative for CIMs and buyer diligence.
  • Present findings directly to PE deal teams and portfolio company executives.
  • Translate technical complexity into investor-relevant value drivers and risk mitigation themes.

Offering Development

  • Refine assessment frameworks and delivery methodology.
  • Standardize deliverables and playbooks.
  • Improve margin profile through repeatable processes.
  • Identify adjacent service expansion opportunities.

Business Development Support

  • Partner with the leadership team in PE relationship development.
  • Support proposal development and scoping.
  • Begin owning select client relationships.

What You’ll Own (12–18 Months)

  • Revenue growth and forecasting for the GTM Advisory practice.
  • Gross margin performance.
  • Team hiring and development.
  • Offering roadmap and pricing strategy.
  • Select PE firm relationships.
  • Annual operating plan and P&L management.
