Account Manager responsible for growing Wiley's Clinical Outcome Assessment (COA) licensing and solutions business across China and the broader APAC region. The role builds strategic relationships with pharmaceutical companies, CROs, and clinical research organizations to drive adoption of COA portfolios in regional clinical trials.

Key Responsibilities: Manage and expand existing APAC customer relationships, develop new business with Chinese pharmaceutical companies and CROs, and handle end-to-end commercial processes including requirements gathering, pricing, and negotiation. Maintain expert understanding of APAC clinical trial landscapes and NMPA requirements while managing accurate pipeline data in Salesforce.
Skills & Tools: Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English (written and spoken), with strong commercial awareness and ability to navigate Chinese pharmaceutical business culture. Proficiency with Salesforce or equivalent CRM, self-starter mentality, and demonstrated ability to build long-term customer relationships.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience with 3+ years in sales, account management, or licensing in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, CRO operations, or IP licensing in China or APAC. Direct experience in clinical trial services, pharmaceutical licensing, or CRO operations preferred.

About the Role: We are looking for an Account Manager to grow Wiley's Clinical Outcome Assessment (COA) licensing and solutions business across China and the broader APAC region. The role builds strategic relationships with Chinese and APAC pharmaceutical companies, Contract Research Organisations (CROs), and clinical research organisations to drive adoption of our COA portfolio across regional clinical trials. It deepens existing customer partnerships and expands into new accounts. The role requires Mandarin fluency, an understanding of the Chinese pharmaceutical and CRO landscape, and experience selling into regulated industries. It reports to the Senior Manager, COA Solutions. How you will make an impact: Manage and grow existing APAC customer relationships, expanding COA licensing and solutions across each customer's trial portfolio. Develop new relationships with Chinese pharmaceutical companies, CROs, and clinical research organisations. Manage the end-to-end commercial process for APAC deals, including requirements gathering, instrument and solution advice, pricing, and negotiation. Develop expert understanding of the APAC clinical trial landscape, particularly NMPA (China) requirements for COA instruments, and advise the COA team on market priorities including cultural adaptation, regulatory standards, and translation. Negotiate COA licensing and solutions agreements adapted for local conditions while maintaining commercial discipline and intellectual property protection. Maintain accurate pipeline and account data in Salesforce, and report to the Senior Manager, COA Solutions on APAC pipeline, revenue performance, and market developments. What we look for: Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. 3+ years in sales or account management in life sciences, pharmaceutical services, CRO operations, or intellectual property licensing in China or APAC. Fluent Mandarin Chinese and English (written and spoken). Demonstrated ability to navigate Chinese pharmaceutical business culture and build long-term customer relationships. Self-starter with a track record of growing a territory with autonomy. Commercial awareness to identify opportunities from relationships and market signals. Proficient with Salesforce or equivalent CRM and standard business tools. Willingness to travel within China and APAC (approximately 20-30 percent), with periodic travel to the United States or United Kingdom for team meetings. Preferred Qualifications Direct experience in clinical trial services, pharmaceutical licensing, or CRO operations in APAC. Working knowledge of Clinical Outcome Assessment (COA) instruments and their role in clinical trials. Awareness of regulatory landscape in China (NMPA) and Japan (PMDA). Understanding of intellectual property licensing in regulated industries. Japanese or Korean language skills a significant advantage. We power infinite possibilities.
