Qualifications

About This Role

  • 50k–60k base, 85k–95k OTE, Uncapped Commission
  • You will be assigned a territory (TBD) & quotas are based on established business, desired growth percentage, and opportunity size—we are proud that our quotas are fair and attainable
  • You will be the leader of this territory, and you’ll work closely with an Account Manager to maintain renewals and bring in new business—you get paid commission on renewals & new deals
  • You’ll have a Regional Curriculum Coordinator (who acts as a sales engineer), a customer support team, your sales management team, and marketing resources all working to help you be successful
  • Your day-to-day will be spent prospecting for new accounts, demoing and presenting our products (virtually and in person), and renewing accounts
  • We have a lot of fun with frequent sales training, team activities, presidents club trips for reps who hit quota (Hawaii Jan ‘25), Caribbean Cruise Jan ‘24), (Hawaii Jan. ‘23), (Mexico Jan ‘22), and even occasional profit sharing—but know that these things only happen from hard work and success
  • In this role, you will also be expected to travel into your territory (6–8) times a year (generally 4–5 days per trip) to meet with both current and new customers and attend conferences
  • Being a hungry, self-driven individual is key to success in this role

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Meet and exceed your annual quota
  • Be organized and balance your time between current and new accounts
  • Your day-to-day will generally consist of hunting for new accounts, doing sales presentations, managing your pipeline and deal data, supporting existing and renewal accounts, planning upcoming sales trips, and attending internal meetings.
  • Meet daily with your account manager to maintain a 6–8 week plan and strategize email and call campaigns
  • Work with accounts of all sizes—Enterprise, Mid-Market, and SMB
  • Report on your forecast monthly, and we will teach you how to do so effectively if you are unfamiliar with this
  • Be involved in the sales cycle from initial contact through implementation—maintaining relationships and partnerships for referrals and renewals will be key
  • Maintain a clean CRM (Hubspot) with accurate data, clean contacts, and detailed deal notes

Education and Experience 

  • Minimum of 3 years of sales or education experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent—a bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Experience with a sales CRM (HubSpot) is preferred but not required

Physical Demands 

The employee is required to talk, hear, and see. Often, this position requires the employee to stand, sit, bend, stoop, crawl, kneel, ascend, and descend stairs. Also, to reach with arms and hands, and use hands and fingers to feel, handle, and manipulate keyboard keys. The employee is also required to lift up to 50 lbs. Travel may be required on company business by car, plane, or other transportation.
