CTE Sales Specialist for Cengage's Next Generation Learning (NGL) solutions in the Midwest region, responsible for driving digital education adoption and achieving sales targets in assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities: Plan and execute sales activities to achieve targets, develop sales pipelines, build strategic account plans, and provide support for course setup and digital activations. Travel 5-6 times per year for key sales presentations and manage daily territory priorities using data-driven resource allocation.
Skills & Tools: Strong virtual and in-person presentation abilities, proficiency with Salesforce and course management technologies, adaptability to change, and ability to work effectively with diverse internal and external audiences. Must demonstrate digital proficiency and capability to travel 40-50% within assigned territory.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience highly desirable with minimum two years of successful sales, instructing, marketing, or customer interaction experience. CTE, K-12, or ed tech sales/marketing experience preferred.

What you'll do here: Plan for Success Plans, coordinates, and prioritizes sales activities to achieve sales targets. Develops pipeline and maintains opportunities for accounts. Builds and implements strategic plans for opportunities through resource management and internal teamwork. Develops product knowledge and digital skills for sales calls, presentations, and delivery of digital courses. Provides support for course set-up and student course access to drive digital activations and usage. Builds itineraries and daily plans that address territory priorities and optimize customer engagement. Deliver Results Achieves and/or exceeds established sales goals by promoting NGL solutions in the assigned territory. Availability to travel and present sales material for key sales adoptions 5-6 times per year. Managing Your Business Uses data to identify priorities for allocation of time and resources. Handles sampling of products within Cengage School policies to align with company budgets. Exhibits digital proficiency with internal systems and when sharing NGL solutions. Ability to travel 40-50 throughout assigned sales territory Preferred: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is highly desirable, with a successful track record in a prior sales position being a necessity. Minimum of two years of successful sales, instructing, marketing, or customer interaction experience. CTE, K-12, or ed tech sales or marketing experience. Proficiency in social media web platforms. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location.
