Summary

Sales Development Representative at LearnUpon, a learning management system provider, responsible for qualifying inbound inquiries and generating outbound sales opportunities through prospecting and lead qualification for the sales team.

Key Responsibilities: Qualify all incoming inquiries and conduct outbound prospecting to identify and understand business requirements of potential customers, determining product fit and scheduling discovery calls or demonstrations with Account Executives. Maintain accurate CRM records, manage prospecting processes to target accounts, and contribute to process improvements for the sales team.
Skills & Tools: Demonstrated passion for sales with strong self-motivation, excellent communication abilities, and comfort engaging with diverse stakeholders to identify needs and handle objections. Must possess high attention to detail, multitasking capability, positive attitude, and resilience in a fast-growing environment with willingness to accept and apply feedback.
Qualifications: No formal education or certification required, though business studies or technology qualification is considered a plus. 1-2 years of software or enterprise sales experience is advantageous but not required.
Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid - 4 days per week in office)
Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation for this role is €28,000 – €38,000/year based on title, seniority, and location.

Job Description

At LearnUpon, we’re seeking Sales Development Representatives to join our Business Development team. This is a hybrid role, working 4 days per week from LearnUpon's Dublin office.

What will I be doing?

You'll be responsible for qualifying all inquiries that come into LearnUpon and proactively creating opportunities through outbound prospecting. You'll determine whether our product is a good fit for a potential customer's requirements and if there is a “mutual fit” you'll move that prospect into our sales pipeline by scheduling introductions to a LearnUpon Account Executive. In addition, you'll:

  • Play an active role in developing, altering and improving processes for the Sales Development team and the company as a whole.
  • Identify and understand the business requirements of our future customers in order to determine if LearnUpon can meet their needs.
  • Be extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in every interaction with potential customers.
  • Scheduling and taking responsibility for all initial qualification calls and arranging discovery calls or demonstrations where appropriate for our Sales Team.
  • Understanding the features and functionality of our robust LMS, be able to convey its value to potential customers.
  • Maintaining a clean and accurate record of account information within a CRM system.
  • Manage our outbound prospecting processes, including prospecting to target accounts.
  • Come up with your own suggestions on how we can rule the LMS world.

  • An unwavering positive attitude, strong drive for results, and the ability to deal with change in a rapidly growing organization are a must.
  • Must be comfortable working with others and in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills; you must be comfortable engaging with a variety of different people, identifying their needs, conveying our value, handling any objections and collecting the vital information that allows us to perform at our best.
  • Must be open to receiving constructive criticism (feedback) and applying and integrating the feedback in an effort to improve their results..
  • Demonstrate good judgment in analyzing information to make routine decisions.
  • Enjoy the challenge delivering on monthly and quarterly revenue targets.

Not required but considered a plus

  • 1-2 years software or enterprise selling a plus.

  • Qualified applicants will be invited to an interview with the hiring manager.
  • If successful, candidates will be invited to a 1 hour task to demonstrate their practical skills.
  • Successful candidates will have a final interview with a member of our Executive Team.
