Summary

Join LINQ as a Junior Software Engineer in the Research & Development department to develop innovative software solutions in a collaborative team environment. You'll contribute to creating high-quality, business-critical applications across Payments, Nutrition, or Platform teams.

Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and develop REST APIs while working closely with product owners and quality assurance. Complete projects in a timely manner, participate in peer code reviews, and contribute to both Microsoft SQL Server and web-based applications.
Skills & Tools: Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (C# or Java), experience with JavaScript frameworks (React or Angular), and knowledge of relational/non-relational databases. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent working experience. Foundational knowledge of software development practices, tools, pull requests, and peer code review processes.
Location: Hybrid in Austin, Texas, United States (less than 10% travel required)
Compensation: $65,000 – $85,000/year

About The Role:

As a Junior Engineer at LINQ, you will work as a member of a cross-functional team to deliver business critical applications of high function and technical quality. You will be responsible for working closely with the product owners and quality assurance to create software that fulfills business needs. You are capable of quickly learning new business domains as well as working in a team environment. You are passionate about delivering high quality, maintainable software to the business.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience writing software learned via classwork or applicable projects
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, etc, or equivalent working experience
  • Understanding of relational and/or non-relational database systems
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
  • Experience or knowledge in creating applications using the following technologies
  • Experience with a JavaScript framework such as React or Angular
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders

  • Collaborate with teams to clarify design and implementation while meeting project needs
  • Collaborate with other developers and architects (when appropriate) to determine optimal solution architecture, efficiency, maintainability and scalability
  • Complete projects/tasks in a timely fashion while meeting sprint goals and commitments
