Skills & Tools: DevOps engineering, infrastructure automation, secure system administration, and controlled environment management. Strong technical problem-solving abilities, big-picture strategic thinking, and ability to work collaboratively with research teams.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field with experience in DevOps, system administration, or infrastructure management. Experience with regulated environments, security compliance, or NISP/CMMC frameworks preferred.
Location: In-Person
Compensation: $130K–$180K/yr (estimated)

Job Description

Support the mission of Old Dominion University in the operation of regulated research environments. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining systems and applications that support researchers’ secure research computing needs. They will combine technical skills with big picture thinking to accelerate collaborative regulated research activities and supporting controlled information systems under the National Industrial Security Program (NISP).
