Senior eLearning Developer role focused on designing and developing complex, highly interactive learning experiences using Articulate Storyline 360. The position requires expert-level technical and creative skills to independently deliver polished, visually sophisticated eLearning solutions from concept through LMS deployment.

Key Responsibilities: Design and develop advanced L3/L4 eLearning experiences, build complex scenarios and branching interactions, and create custom web-based interactions using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Ensure accessibility compliance, conduct QA testing, troubleshoot LMS/SCORM deployment, and collaborate with instructional designers and project managers.
Skills & Tools: Expert proficiency in Articulate Storyline 360, advanced UI/UX and visual design capabilities, strong HTML/CSS/JavaScript knowledge, and deep understanding of WCAG accessibility standards and SCORM/LMS environments. Additional strengths in animation, motion design, scenario-based learning development, and emerging AI/automation tools are essential.
Qualifications: Advanced L3/L4 eLearning development experience with proven portfolio of complex, scenario-based and branched learning projects. Strong problem-solving abilities and demonstrated capability to work independently with minimal supervision while delivering high-end visual and technical solutions.

Senior eLearning Developer

Location: Remote – USA
Compensation: $65,000–$75,000 annually

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior eLearning Developer with expert-level Articulate Storyline 360 skills and strong visual/UI/UX capabilities. This person will independently design and develop complex, highly interactive, and visually polished learning experiences from storyboards through final delivery.

The ideal candidate has strong technical and creative skills across eLearning development, animation, multimedia, accessibility, LMS/SCORM standards, and web-based custom interactions. Experience using AI/GenAI tools, automation, and AI-assisted development is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop advanced L3/L4 eLearning experiences using Articulate Storyline 360.

  • Build complex scenarios, branching interactions, simulations, and custom learning experiences.

  • Translate storyboards into engaging, visually sophisticated learning solutions with minimal supervision.

  • Apply strong UI/UX, visual design, animation, and motion principles.

  • Develop and troubleshoot custom web-based interactions using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Ensure learning experiences meet WCAG accessibility standards and technical requirements.

  • Prepare and troubleshoot courses for LMS/SCORM deployment.

  • Conduct detailed visual, functional, and technical QA.

  • Solve complex development challenges independently and identify creative solutions.

  • Collaborate with instructional designers, project managers, and other creative/technical team members as needed.

  • Explore and apply emerging AI and automation tools to improve the eLearning development process.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Expert-level Articulate 360 / Storyline 360 experience.

  • Advanced L3/L4 eLearning development experience.

  • Strong UI/UX and visual design skills.

  • Proven experience developing scenario-based and branched learning.

  • Strong understanding of animation and motion design principles.

  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Understanding of WCAG and accessible eLearning development.

  • Strong knowledge of SCORM and LMS environments.

  • Excellent visual QA and attention to detail.

  • Ability to independently interpret storyboards and visualize the final learning experience.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

  • Experience creating custom web-based interactions.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with Claude, ChatGPT, or other GenAI tools in an eLearning workflow.

  • Figma.

  • Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

  • Basic After Effects or Premiere Pro experience.

  • Lectora.

  • xAPI / cmi5.

  • AI-generated images and video.

  • Experience with automation or AI-assisted development workflows.
