Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field (business, education, etc.) and 2+ years of sales experience or customer-facing/reseller-facing roles; mandatory knowledge of current SMART products, systems, and processes.

Job Description

Purpose of the position
The Area Representative (AR) plays a critical role in supporting the execution of SMART’s channel and territory sales strategy. Reporting to an Area Representative Team Lead, the AR is responsible for driving operational efficiency, managing leads and partner engagement, and ensuring consistent follow-through across the sales process.

This role serves as a key connector between channel partners, Area Managers, and internal teams—helping expand market coverage, accelerate pipeline movement, and deliver a high-quality experience for partners and customers across K–12, higher education, government, and corporate markets.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Help Area Managers update opportunities in Salesforce with pricing discounts, volumes, timing, products, and issuing pricing letters to channel partners.
Opportunity and Lead follow-up with channel partners, including Lumio renewals and overall continuous salesforce hygiene
Lead Management for the assigned territory:

Lead acceptance and qualification, including mapping to correct account, initial discovery call and remote demo as needed
Lead conversion and assignment, including lead history review, gathering input from stakeholders, conversion of lead to opportunity in Salesforce, and assignment to SMART field sales or channel partner

Remote Demos (to K12, higher education, government and corporate customers)
Onboard new resellers in designated territories
Inbound questions/help from existing resellers including inventory, product questions, resources, pricing letter updates/extensions (general Channel support)

Education and work experience

Bachelor's degree in a related field (business, education, etc.)
2+ years sales experience or related experience in customer-facing or reseller-facing roles
Experience or knowledge of current SMART products, systems and processes is mandatory
Strong communication, interpersonal skills, writing skills, and presentation skills
Highly motivated, energetic, and eager to work with both internal SMART teams as well as SMART’s channel and end-customers

Additional Information

Office based role, fast-paced work environment.
Travel may be required (up to 10%)
Accordingly, a valid passport, or no impediment to obtain one, is required.
