Account Manager supporting a Field Sales Executive in retaining and developing customer relationships for Elsevier's nursing and health education products. Key Responsibilities: Deliver customer service and product presentations, negotiate with internal/external stakeholders, maintain and support product adoption post-implementation, and track contract renewals and sales pipeline using Salesforce. Manage student portals, customer ordering systems, and coordinate custom package renewals with sales representatives.
Skills & Tools: Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication, customer engagement, solution-based selling techniques, and customer satisfaction driving. Proficiency with Salesforce CRM and ability to manage relationships with C-suite professionals.
Qualifications: Prior experience in account management, customer retention, or customer engagement in higher education publishing and/or healthcare sales. Strong passion for driving customer satisfaction and supporting customer adoption of products.
Location: Home-based, Missouri, United States of America (Remote)
Compensation: Estimated: $55,000 – $75,000/year based on Account Manager role in publishing/education sector, remote Missouri location, and mid-market company size.

About the Role

The Private Sector Account Manager works in tandem with a Field Sales Executive on

retention activities and developing customer relationships. Using solution

based selling techniques, the Account Manager will identify customer needs and

demonstrate the full value of the Elsevier suite of products.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting sales representative in a high-paced environment by delivering excellent
  • customer service, product presentations and preparing annual reports
  • Negotiating and communicating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Maintaining and supporting adoptions of a print/digital portfolio by your customers

  • Acting as a trusted advisor to higher education and C-suite professionals by providing
  • in-depth product insight, support and guidance relating to the curriculum
  • Tracking contract renewal status, sales pipeline, leads, and sales cycle using Salesforce to achieve

Requirements

  • Possess prior experience with account management/customer retention/customer engagement

  • Possess experience with customer engagement and driving customer adoption
