Senior Project Manager with technical background to lead project delivery across software and data development initiatives at Data Recognition Corporation. Responsible for managing scope, timelines, and stakeholder expectations while driving release planning and quality within the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities: Manage project scope and expectations with development teams and stakeholders, facilitate release planning and sprint discussions, establish release cadences, and manage dependencies across IT projects. Maintain quality standards, identify project risks and gaps, manage JIRA boards, and coordinate with implementation teams to meet deadlines with optimal resource allocation.
Skills & Tools: Strong project management methodologies and tools expertise (JIRA, Google Suite, Lucid Charts), proven facilitation and negotiation abilities, collaborative leadership skills, and understanding of technical/data development workflows. Must demonstrate change management proficiency, problem-solving capabilities, and ability to manage multiple concurrent responsibilities.
Qualifications: 4+ years of project management experience with demonstrated understanding of software and/or data development environments and release management processes. Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred; PMP certification helpful.
Location: Hybrid - Maple Grove, MN
Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation for this role is $95,000 – $130,000/year based on title, seniority, and location.

Senior Project Manager (hybrid-Minnesota)

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated senior project manager who has a technical background, proven leadership skills, the ability to think critically and solve problems, and a track-record of ensuring project milestones and deadlines are met.

Essential Responsibilities:

Manage expectations and scope of work with both the development team and stakeholders
Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact and work with implementation teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources.
Facilitate Release Planning readiness by preparing development backlogs that drive the Release.
Establish and communicate release cadences.
Facilitate project team discussions

  • finds creative solutions.
    Understand dependencies of other projects within Information Technology
    Manage quality into the software development lifecycle through adopted methodology

Qualifications:

4+ years Project Management background
Demonstrated understanding of project management methodologies and tools
Strong facilitation, communication, and negotiation skills
Demonstrated collaborative leadership skills; ability to successfully direct the work of others
Exposure to teams that do software development and/or data development
Familiarity with change management/release management
Experience using JIRA or similar project management tools
Managing the JIRA board and assist with sprint planning
Familiarity with Google Suite
Understanding of the workflow of a technical organization

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field OR equivalent experience
Local candidate to Minnesota preferred for hybrid work schedule
PMP is helpful

Essential Requirements:

Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Atlassian, Google suite, Lucid Charts, and applicable data analytics tools
Relate effectively and work respectfully with diverse workgroups
Ability to consistently perform well during times of increased workload
Set and meet deadlines and manage multiple job functions simultaneously
