The Opportunity:

moozoom seeks a seasoned Regional (California) Account Executive who will drive revenue growth by targeting, pitching, and closing new K12 clients in California. You will be responsible for expanding our client base, building relationships with K12 school districts and County Office of Education, and effectively communicating the value proposition of our solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong track record of success in K12 sales, has strong district relationships in California, is self-motivated, and can work remotely with a high degree of autonomy.

As a Regional Account Manager, you will:

  • Canvas, pitch, and close new partnerships within strategic markets.
  • Develop account strategies, goals, objectives, and action plans for accounts.
  • Build market position by locating, developing, and defining business relationships at the district and state level within the K-12 space.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations and demonstrations to key decision-makers.
  • Nurture and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the research, content, and key selling points of our product, while acting as the point of contact for product-related questions.
  • Work autonomously to obtain proficiency in the SEL landscape and acquire knowledge of the market.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the customer sales journey is effective, fluid, and effective to drive upsell and renewal opportunities. 
  • Be informed of funding opportunities and keep districts and management updated on critical deadlines.
  • Stay current with general educational marketplace trends.
  • Follow key state(s) education departments with the focus of aligning our product to match key priorities.
  • Take responsibility for weekly sales forecasting and consistent review of sales performance.
  • Track sales activities in Hubspot, manage a pipeline of leads and meet/exceed sales quota.
  • 5+ years of experience in K12 sales, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong network of relationships with California K12 school districts
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate the value proposition of our solutions.
  • Self-motivated and driven, with the ability to work independently and remotely.
  • Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and events.
  • Experience working with CRM software to manage leads and track sales activities.
  • Counselor/SpedEd background, or with SEL programs is a plus.
  • California-based is a must.
