Summary

Your Role:

As a Quality Coach, you will beresponsible for co-developing and facilitating the Pre-Texas Rising Stars (TRS) learning track. This track is aimed at preparing participants for TRS participation by providing foundational knowledge and practical skills, while also addressing the core topics of budgeting, cash flow, and business operations. The Quality Coach will create a workbook and guide that support providers on their journey through Pre-TRS, and will use Monday.com to document their process. Coaching will be delivered in group coaching sessions, which include four (4) one-hour sessions delivered in a cohort of approximately 7 Family Child Care providers.

What You’ll Do:

● Provide direct support and coaching to assigned Texas Family Child Care Homes

● Support the development and refinement of the Pre-TRS learning track and materials, ensuring they meet the needs of diverse providers across Texas, including underrepresented communities

● Manage time effectively to optimize coaching hours and stay within the assigned budget

● Facilitate group coaching tracks (micro learning cohorts), delivering structured sessions using workbooks and guides designed specifically for the Pre-TRS learning track

● Refer programs to non-business specialized outside support and resources, such as those available through state licensing, child care resource & referral agencies, Texas Association for the

Education of Young Children (TAEYC), among others

● Operate as a liaison with Family Child Care Homes, Shine Early Learning, and Civitas staff where appropriate

● Collaborate with the Project Manager and Civitas to align coaching services with the broader Texas early learning landscape

● Achieve compliance with project deliverables in providing learning tracks, workbooks and guides, and business coaching and services

● Participate in and contributes to Advisory Committee recruitment and engagement, ensuring provider voices shape ongoing service delivery

● Utilize Monday.com for data entry, session tracking, and reporting of coaching activities

● Participate in assigned meetings, events and training as required

What You Bring:

1. Bachelor’s in early childhood education , or a related field

2. Minimum of 2 years experience consulting, advising, or coaching

3. Familiarity with any state’s Quality Rating System (Texas preferred)

4. Minimum of 2 years experience in the Early Education sector

5. Thrive Pathway© Business Coaching Certification preferred

6. Bi-lingual preferred (Spanish)

7. Physical exam and background checks are required for this position

8. Travel is required locally or long-distance up to 15% of the time for work-related meetings and functions; must have reliable personal transportation as travel from site to site is required

9. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

10. Texas residency required
