Join Parallel as a Bilingual School Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct services and bilingual therapy to children with learning differences in Washington, DC. Empower students by conducting evaluations, delivering treatment, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct SLP evaluations and deliver direct bilingual (Spanish-English) services, translate educational materials, develop and monitor IEP goals, and communicate progress with parents, staff, and students. Collaborate with teachers and specialists to ensure student success through documentation and team participation.
Skills & Tools: Fluency in Spanish and English with ability to provide services in both languages, strong communication skills for engaging diverse populations, and comfort with technology and virtual telehealth platforms. Experience with IEP-directed therapy, case management, and comprehensive educational evaluations required.
Qualifications: ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) and minimum 1 year of experience providing IEP-directed therapy and evaluations in a school setting (CFY not included). Demonstrated experience in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and comprehensive reporting.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct SLP evaluations and deliver direct services to children
  • Provide bilingual (Spanish-English) therapy services to meet the needs of diverse students and families
  • Translate evaluations, reports, and educational materials between English and Spanish as needed
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), focusing on specific SLP goals
  • Continuously monitor each child's progress, adjusting strategies as needed
  • Effectively communicate with parents, staff, and students regarding progress in both English and Spanish
  • Complete essential documentation for IEP reports, goals, and diagnostic evaluations
  • Meet with teachers, paraprofessionals, and specialists to discuss student needs, adaptations, and interventions
  • Actively participate in team meetings and work collaboratively to ensure every student's success

What You’ll Need

  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • At least 1 year of experience providing IEP-directed therapy and evaluations in a school setting (CFY not included)
  • Experience in IEP meetings, case management, and completing educational eligibility determinations and comprehensive reports
  • Fluency in Spanish and English, with the ability to provide services and communicate effectively in both languages
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage children from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Comfort with technology and virtual telehealth platforms
  • Availability during school hours (8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday)
