Skills & Tools: Minimum 2 years of experience in investment banking or private equity with hands-on expertise in financial modeling, valuation, pitch materials, and deal execution workflows. No prior AI or technical experience required.
Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of experience as an Analyst or Associate in Investment Banking or Private Equity. Demonstrated hands-on experience with financial modeling, valuation, and deal execution workflows.

Opportunity Overview

Handshake is seeking experienced Private Equity Analysts to support AI research through flexible, hourly contract work. This is not a traditional full-time investment banking or private equity role. In this program, you’ll apply your expertise to help improve how AI understands real-world professional tasks and language.

This is an ongoing, project-based opportunity that can be done alongside your primary employment.

What You’ll Do

This project work includes and is not limited to developing industry-specific prompts and evaluating LLM responses using your professional experience in investment banking or private equity.

No prior AI or technical experience is required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Analyst or Associate in Investment Banking or Private Equity.

  • Hands-on experience with financial modeling, valuation, pitch materials, and deal execution workflows

Work Model and Project Details

  • Status: Independent contractor (not a full-time employee role)

  • Location: Fully remote; work from anywhere with a reliable internet connection and access to a desktop or laptop computer

  • Schedule: Flexible and asynchronous, with no minimum hour requirement. Many contributors work approximately 5–20 hours per week when assigned to an active project

  • Duration: The Handshake AI program runs year-round, with projects opening periodically across different areas of expertise. Placement depends on current project needs, with opportunities to be considered for future projects as they become available
