AtACI Learning, we’re on a mission to transform lives through technical education. Our Tech Academy prepares learners for high-demand careers in IT and cybersecurity, and our Career Mentors play a critical role in helping them take that final step from training to employment.

As aCareer Mentor, you’ll guide learners through their career journey while building meaningful relationships with employers looking for emerging tech talent. You’ll coach students on job search strategy, help them build confidence as professionals, and expand the network of employers who hire ACI graduates.

This role blendscareer coaching, employer partnership development, and student advocacy. If you’re passionate about workforce development and enjoy helping people launch their careers while connecting companies with great talent, this role offers the chance to make a real impact.

This is ahybrid role requiring at least four days per week on campus.


What You’ll Do

Career Coaching & Student Success

  • Provide1:1 and group career coachingto learners throughout their training with a focus on employment readiness and job placement
  • Develop personalizedCareer Plansusing insights from the Enrollment Readiness Assessment to support each student’s strengths, goals, and potential barriers
  • Conductpre-graduation check-insto ensure students are aligned on career goals and prepared for the job search
  • Support students in building strong professional materials includingresumes, LinkedIn profiles, and interview readiness
  • Teach students how to effectively useCareerConnect tools, including the resume builder, job board, AI career coach, and networking tracker
  • Monitor student engagement with career resources and conduct proactive outreach when support is needed


Employer Partnerships & Talent Placement

  • Build and maintain a pipeline ofemployer partnershiring IT and cybersecurity talent
  • Partner with Strategic Partnerships to expand employer relationships and job opportunities for graduates
  • Position ACI Learning’s programs as ascalable workforce development solutionfor employers
  • Support employer engagement throughcareer fairs, industry events, and hiring initiatives aligned with graduation cycles
  • Onboard employers to theCareerConnect platformand encourage its use for posting jobs, sourcing candidates, and sharing interview feedback


Events & Industry Engagement

  • Plan and hostmonthly career events and workshopsconnecting learners with industry professionals and hiring managers
  • Coordinatevirtual and on-site career fairsfor graduating cohorts
  • Promote employer participation in career events and strengthen ACI’s presence in the tech hiring community


Outcomes, Data & Compliance

  • Track and document graduate employment outcomes inSalesforce and the ACI CareerConnect platform
  • Maintain accurate records aligned withfederal, state, VA, accreditation, and company compliance requirements
  • Monitor employment outcomes and support graduates until successful job placement

What Success Looks Like

  • Graduates securein-field employment quickly, meeting progressive placement benchmarks at 30, 60, 90, and 180 days post-graduation
  • Students complete key career readiness milestones includingresume, LinkedIn, and interview preparation
  • Employer engagement grows throughnew partnerships, job leads, and industry events
  • Graduates and employers becomeadvocates for the program, contributing testimonials, reviews, and feedback that strengthen ACI’s reputation


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree inBusiness, Marketing, Human Resources, or a related field
  • Substitution: Relevant experience in career services, staffing/recruiting, HR, or workforce development may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
  • At least1 year of experiencein career services, career coaching, recruiting, human resources, or workforce development


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working withSalesforce CRM
  • Experience supporting students invocational or career training environments
