Summary

Associate Account Executive on the Expansion team working with small district clients to deepen their partnership with Apptegy's communication and branding solutions. You'll lead discovery conversations, run product demos, and manage a high-velocity sales pipeline to help districts expand their use of Apptegy products.

Key Responsibilities: Support and own the full sales process from outreach to close for small district clients, lead structured discovery conversations about communication challenges, run virtual product demos, and manage a high-velocity pipeline while coordinating internally across Implementation, Client Success, Marketing, and Product teams.
Skills & Tools: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to present ideas and build rapport with diverse audiences; strong organization, follow-through, and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while quickly learning new technology tools.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or comparable continuous work experience with 0–1+ years in a professional setting; early career acceptable but must be hungry to learn and grow in sales with a track record of success from internships, campus leadership, or professional experience.

The Role

This Junior Account Executive role on our Expansion team focuses on working with our small district clients—current customers who are ready to deepen their partnership with Apptegy. You’ll act as a thoughtful, consultative partner, learning how to lead discovery, run virtual demos, and manage a high-velocity pipeline of opportunities across multiple stakeholders. With strong coaching and clear playbooks, you’ll help districts expand how they use our products to transform communication and branding across their schools.

What You’ll Do

  • Support and, over time, own the full sales process from outreach to close for small district clients in your book of business
  • Lead structured discovery conversations that dial into the communication and branding challenges facing superintendents and school leaders
  • Run high-quality virtual product demos that show how additional Apptegy products can simplify and elevate district-wide communication
  • Cultivate conversations with previously prospected leads and existing champions to uncover new expansion opportunities
  • Manage a high-velocity pipeline, balancing shorter deal cycles while keeping opportunities moving forward
  • Coordinate internally with Implementation, Client Success, Marketing, and Product to deliver consistent, enterprise-caliber experiences for our small district clients

What You’ll Bring

  • A Bachelor’s degree or comparable, continuous work experience with an impressive track record of success (internships, campus leadership, or other professional experiences all count)
  • 0–1+ years’ experience in a professional setting; you may be early in your career, but you’re hungry to learn and grow in sales
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; you’re comfortable presenting ideas, asking thoughtful questions, and building rapport with diverse audiences
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and quickly learn and master new technology tools
  • Strong organization and follow-through; you can manage multiple priorities and keep your pipeline and tasks up to date
  • A consultative mindset—you’re curious, you listen closely, and you enjoy helping others solve real problems
  • You’re metrics-driven, energized by ambitious goals, and open to feedback as a way to grow your skills over time

Compensation

  • Salary starting from $55,000 - $70,000 per year
  • Plus commission pay
