Summary

The SMB Sales Representative will promote and sell KnowBe4's Security Awareness Training Platform to small and mid-sized businesses in the greater Tampa Bay area while managing leads and building customer relationships. Success in this role can lead to promotion opportunities in Mid-Market or Enterprise sales.

Key Responsibilities: Identify and close new customers, conduct online product demos, build and maintain a sales pipeline, achieve monthly quotas, and promote products at trade shows. Key activities include cold calling, networking, prospecting, and maintaining accurate customer records in Salesforce.
Skills & Tools: Proven sales track record with familiarity with IT security concepts, proficiency in Salesforce and Gmail, and strong verbal and written communication abilities. Must be a stats-driven, self-motivated professional with excellent collaborative and teamwork skills.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred with 1-3 years of software sales experience, particularly selling to small and medium enterprises. IT security certifications such as Network or Security Plus are preferred.
Location: Hybrid in Clearwater, Florida, United States (open to candidates in the greater Tampa Bay area)
Compensation: $50,000 – $80,000/year

As a SMB Sales Representative, you will benefit from some inbound leads and self-generate new opportunities. You will run online demos of the KnowBe4’s Security Awareness Training Platform and successfully sell our value proposition. Prospective clients will consist of small and mid-sized businesses initially. After demonstrating success in this market, promotion to Mid-Market or Enterprise sales could be available.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote and sell KnowBe4’s range of products and services
  • Identify and close net new customers in the assigned territory
  • Build and maintain pipeline of potential customers by developing and managing relationships with prospects
  • Forecast new business prospects that result in successful client relationships and sales
  • Identify key decision makers while developing and qualifying new business opportunities within the targeted markets through cold calling, networking and high-level prospecting
  • Articulate the value proposition of KnowBe4’s products and help the customer understand how it will improve their business’s security awareness training (and security overall)
  • Achieve or exceed monthly quotas and/or targets 
  • Be well versed in KnowBe4’s product offerings and promote the products and services at trade shows as requested
  • Follow up on marketing leads to generate new sales opportunities and pipeline
  • Act strategically in offering or negotiating discounted pricing, in line with established policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate and thorough records for customer calls, emails, notes, tasks, demos and other relevant information in compliance with the Administration Policy 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree a plus 
  • Proven track record in sales 
  • 1-3 years selling software to Small Medium Enterprise a plus
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the IT Security Field
  • Experience with Salesforce and Gmail
  • Network or Security Plus preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Stats driven business professional

  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision
