We are seeking a committed and passionate Development Manager to support our internal business systems technology stack, with a focus on our ERP and HCM ecosystems. This role is pivotal to supporting the growth and scalability of the organization through the development and optimization of key business systems. As the Development Manager (ERP/HCM), you will lead the evolution of these critical systems and drive operational efficiency across the technology stack. The ideal candidate possesses a combination of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and a strategic outlook, with a strong track record in managing NetSuite development teams. Essential Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of developers and administrators, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Talent Management: Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of team members. Lifecycle Management: Manage the end-to-end development lifecycle for ERP, HRIS, and financial systems (NetSuite, Blackline, Pigment, and Workday) from concept to implementation. Standards & Quality: Establish and enforce coding and quality standards for system development and deployment. System Reliability: Oversee regular audits and assessments to ensure the reliability and performance of business systems. Risk Mitigation: Recognize risks spanning across platforms and develop strategies to mitigate them. Financial Oversight: Develop and manage project resource estimates, budgets, and associated costs. Resource Optimization: Assign tasks and projects based on skill sets to ensure optimal resource utilization and cost-effectiveness across multiple delivery teams. Documentation: Ensure comprehensive documentation of business systems, processes, configurations, and custom workflows. Compliance & Security: Ensure applications and processes comply with relevant regulatory and security standards while safeguarding sensitive data. Continuous Improvement: Drive ongoing enhancements in system performance and implement best practices for project management. AI Strategy & Integration: Lead the evaluation and implementation of AI-driven solutions to modernize the technology stack; identify high-impact opportunities to modernize and automate workflows through system integrations and API orchestration, ensuring AI tools are seamlessly integrated into existing business systems. Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Leadership Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a leadership or managerial role within an IT organization, managing a diverse team of developers and professionals. NetSuite Expertise: Minimum of 7 years of experience in NetSuite development. Technical Management: Proven experience in large-scale business systems development with a strong track record of successful project delivery. Methodology: Minimum of 5 years of experience leading technology delivery teams using CI/CD practices and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Tooling: Minimum of 5 years of experience utilizing development, project management, and release management systems (e.g., JIRA, GitHub, Salto). Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Problem Solving: Strong analytical abilities to identify and address challenges in system development. Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and external partners. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Degree: Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or Business Administration. Certification: Certifications in NetSuite administration or related ERP/HCM applications. Industry Knowledge: Experience in the education or ed-tech industry. Strategic Insight: Knowledge of regulatory requirements and experience with evaluating new tools to recommend for the stack. Mentorship: A genuine interest in teaching and developing fellow "Amplifiers". The gross salary range for this role is $140,000 - $160,000. This role is eligible to earn an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
