Summary

Business Development Representative at KnowBe4 responsible for engaging potential clients in the Washington DC area and qualifying leads for sales executives. The role is critical for building the sales pipeline for KnowBe4's security awareness training platform.

Key Responsibilities: Reach out to cold prospects via phone and email to gauge interest in KnowBe4 products, qualify leads based on fit, and pass qualified prospects to assigned Territory/Account Executives. Must be persistently engaging, organized, and results-oriented in lead generation activities.
Skills & Tools: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly phone demeanor and proficiency in Gmail, Google Docs, MS Office, and CRM tools. IT Security concept familiarity and ability to be pleasantly persistent in outreach efforts are essential.
Qualifications: Familiarity with IT Security field concepts and practices is preferred, along with demonstrated experience using standard business software tools. Strong organizational skills, results-oriented mindset, and ability to handle multiple prospect outreach attempts required.
Location: Hybrid in Arlington, Virginia, United States (open to candidates in the Washington DC area)
Compensation: $45,000 – $70,000/year

The Business Development Representative is responsible for reaching out to prospects, qualifying them and passing interested prospects to their assigned Territory/Account Executive(s).

  • Reach out via phone and/or email to cold prospects and get them interested in a KnowBe4 product
  • Gauge the interest of prospects to qualify them as potential customers
  • Pass the qualified and interested prospects to their assigned Territory/Account Executive(s) 

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the IT Security Field a plus
  • Experience with Gmail and Google Docs
  • Experience with MS Office
  • Experience with a CRM or other Sales Tools a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Good computer skills
  • Friendly phone voice
  • “Pleasantly persistent” as it can take multiple tries to reach a prospect
  • Ability to leave a message and sound interested
  • Must be highly organized and results-oriented
